Yes, our hotel and its spa are a retreat for adults. We welcome guests ages 14 and older. Starting October 1, 2026, the Heiltherme Bad Waltersdorf will also be an adults-only area.
Yes, the hotel is wheelchair-accessible. Accessible junior suites with accessible bathrooms are available. The main entrance, the restaurant Kulinarium and the hotel bar are all wheelchair-accessible. The Heiltherme features a pool lift, accessible restrooms and quiet lounging areas.

The address of the Heilthermen Resort is Thermenstrasse 111 in 8271 Bad Waltersdorf. You can easily reach us by train; upon request, our concierge will pick you up at the train station. The Thermenlandbus runs daily from Vienna, with stops at the main train station and Matzleinsdorfer Platz, directly to Bad Waltersdorf. If you’re traveling by car, free public parking is available at the Thermenparkplatz; unterground parking and a parking deck are available for a fee.

There is free parking in front of the resort. Hotel guests can use the parking deck and underground parking garage for an additional fee. Electric vehicles can be charged at the Smartrics charging stations (charging cables are not provided on site, so please bring your own); please do not park your electric vehicle in the underground parking garage – park it on the parking deck instead. Guests with bicycles will also find a covered storage area.
Your room will be ready for you starting at 3.00 pm. You can arrive as early as 7.30 am, since your can use the Heiltherme all day on your arrival date. Guests can drive up to the hotel front desk to check in. If your arrive before 3 pm, you can leave your luggage in the luggage storage area and then park your car. You’ll receive your fully stocked bath bag right when you check in and can change in the changing room area.
With a valid guest pass, you can use the Thermengenuss-Taxi within the local area (Bad Waltersdorf, Sebersdorf, Bad Blumau) for € 2,- per person. The taxi runs daily from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm; the wait time is about 30 minutes.
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort. You can find the access code in the digital guest guide or ask for it at the front desk.
Pets are not allowed anywhere in the resort. This ensures that all guests can enjoy peace and quiet and a clean environment. We appreciate your understanding.
For the duration of your stay at the hotel, you will receive a bathrobe, bath towels and a bag free of charge. You can exchange wet llinens at any time by presenting them at the front desk.
We do not offer traditional room service.
An extra bed cannot be added to the double rooms, but the (junior) suites feature comfortable sofa beds that can accommodate up to two people.
Our regular guided tours take place on Tuesday at 2.00 pm and last about an hour. The tour begins at the reception at the Heiltherme – please check in at the reception desk by 11.00 am.
Our hotel front desk is staffed daily from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm. At other times, the night porter is available to assist you.
Our resort is a smoke-free property. Smoking is permitted on the balcony or terrace of your room, as well as in the designated outdoor areas. There is a weather-protected smoking area in the spa. We ask that you be considerate of other guests.
Starting Oktober 1, 2026, the Heilthermen Resort Bad Waltersdorf will become an adults only resort for guests ages 14 and older.

We offer a variety of room categories – single and double rooms in the main building, as well as Superior single rooms, Superior double rooms, Superior Junior Suites and Superior Suites – some with a balcony or terrace.
The single rooms feature a 1.40-meter-wide bed, and all double rooms and suites feature 1.80-meter-wide beds.
Our bedding system are 100% made in Austria and offer a comfortable sleeping eexperience thanks to their varying levels of firmness.
The rooms are equped with air conditioning, high-quality bedding, a safe, a refrigator and a TV. The bathrooms in the Superior rooms feature a walk-in shower and toiletries. Some of the rooms and suites have a balcony or terrace. The suites also feature a premium sleeper sofa and some include a bathtub.

The resort offers nature trails marked with signs in the hotel and thermen garden (Panoramaweg, Kraftweg, Weinlaubenweg), a foot reflexology trail, a Yin & Yang trail and daily sessions as part of the wellness and activity program.
Yes, right outside the doors of the Heilthermen Resort, there are numerous bike trails for road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes – ranging from leisurely rides to challenging routes. E-bikes are available for rent at the hotel front desk, subject to availability.
Hiking trails also begin in the immediate vicinity of the resort and wind through the rolling hills of Eastern Styria. For runners, ther are marked loop trails that boost your heart rate and strenghten your cardiovascular system.

We are a Bett+Bike-Sport certified establishment. You can store your bike in our bike stoarage room, which includes a bike wash station.

At the Adults Only hotel spa we offer a variety of loungers to help you relax. We have comfortable double loungers as well as waterbeds.
In addition to the loungers, there are many different oases of tranquility around the thermal pools where you can relax and unwind. Even on warm days, you’ll find outdoor loungers throughout the natural grounds where you can relax and feel at ease.
For hotel guests, the breakfast buffet is served in the Kulinarium restaurant form 7.30 am to 10.30 am, and on weekends and holidays until 11.00 am. At the hotel spa we offer coffee, tea and croissants from 7.00 am to 10.00 am.
Dinner for hotel guests on a half-board plan is served from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

You can pay in cash or with major credit cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express and debit cards. You can conveniently charge your purchases at the resort to your chip watch and pay on the day of departure.
Third-party gift certificates can be redeemed for overnights stays or accommodation packages when booked directly. Additional services such as spa treatments, shop items, local taxes, dining services and gift certificates cannot be paid with third-party gift certificates.
Check out is by 11.00 am. The Heiltherme remains available to you all day on your departure day. Access to the hotel spa is included untel 11.00 am; if you’d like to visit beyond that time, you may do so for an additional fee.
At check out you may use the lockers in the Heiltheme and the hotel spa.
Depending on availability you can also book a late check out as an optional extra, which includes access to the hotel spa or dinner. Please feel free to ask at the hotel front desk for more information.
