A visit to our local capital Graz is an absolute must for guests staying for longer than a short spa break. Europe`s Cultural Capital 2003 is an enchanting medieval university city which has something for everyone. The best way to start is with a 2hour walking tour with one of the city guides. Having seen the main attractions one can spend hours wandering around tiny streets and passages popping into attractive boutique style shops. The Castle Trail
Eastern Styria is known for the numerous castles and fortresses which can be visited. The castle trail is a route for enthusiasts to explore the local history behind these magnificent buildings. Riegersburg Fortress is the most famous and is situated on a huge natural rock formation and the fairytale style structure can be seen from miles around.
